Redline Reviews

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Redline Reviews, Sofyan Bey gave viewers an early glimpse of the 2025 Kia K5 at the Chicago Auto Show. He briefly went over the car’s engine details, mentioning that this new model is stronger than its 2024 predecessor. It comes with a 2.5-liter engine that can produce 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque.

“This makes it one of the quickest family sedans you can buy and really gives it an edge over the competition,” said Bey.

Bey then lowered the hood and shifted his focus to the car’s outside appearance. He mentioned that the front now features an updated LED lighting design.

“Compared to the new Sonata, which also got a refresh in 2024, I personally think the K5 is the better-looking car,” said Bey.

Bey wrapped up by sharing some of his favorite features he saw in the 2025 K5.

“It’s clear that Kia has made some pretty key upgrades here,” said Bey. “I like some of the upgrades that Kia has made to the interior, especially with the software- it finally gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.”

Additionally, Raiti talked about the refreshed design of the tiger nose grille, the fog lights, and the tires.

“Look at the way they did that lighting,” said Raiti. “I like how they kind of smoke the lenses a little bit, a little dark tinge.”

He moved on to explore the inside of the car, praising its comfort, design, and technology. He pointed out that the K5 now features two 12.3-inch screens, one for the entertainment system and the other for the dashboard. Right below the central screen, you’ll find the controls for the car’s temperature, offering options like dual climate control, as well as heating and cooling for the seats. He also commented on how the seats felt and looked.

“New for 2025 is that neon yellow highlighter stitching,” said Raiti. “Seats- love the material. The stitching is consistent even in the center here.”

Kia SUV tires in Bentonville, AR

Maintaining your car’s tires might sound boring, but it’s vital to keeping your vehicle running well. Remember, your tires are the only thing touching the road. Making sure they’re in good shape means your car will drive smoothly, use less gas, and perform better overall. Not sure how to check your tires? No problem! We’re ready to show you how to get started at Crain Kia of Bentonville.

If you need a new set of tires near Rogers, AR, click here to place your order.

Tire Pressure

The first step to ensuring your car drives well and safely is to maintain the proper air pressure in your tires. This not only makes your car easier to control and stop but also helps you use less gas. The American Automobile Association (AAA) recommends checking your tire pressure every month. You can do this quickly with a digital or basic tire gauge. Here’s an easy-to-follow guide on how to check your tire pressure.

Checking Your Car’s Tire Pressure

  1. Remove the cap on the tire’s valve stem.
  2. Place the gauge reader at the end of the stem.
    1. Apply pressure for a tight seal for an accurate reading.
  3. Add or release air as needed.
    1. Utilize a compressor to supply air. You can stop at a gas station if you do not own one.
    2. If your tires are overinflated, place the non-rounded end of your gauge on the valve stem to discharge pressure.

Checking Your Tire’s Tread

Keeping your car in top shape means ensuring your tires are in good condition. A quick way to see if you need new tires is by using the “penny test.” This easy trick helps you check if your tires are worn out. According to a post by Bridgestone, car tires usually start with tread depths of about 10/32-inch or 11/32-inch. It’s time to replace them when they wear down to 2/32-inch. The “penny test” lets you easily see if it’s time for new tires.

How to Use The Penny Test

  1. Hold a penny between the raises on the tire’s tread, or “rib.”
  2. When positioning the penny, make sure Lincoln’s head is pointing down.
  3. Inspect to see if Lincoln’s head is visible.
    1. If Lincoln’s head hides behind the tread, your tires are above the 2/32 threshold.
    2. If you can see Lincoln’s entire head, it’s probably time to replace your tire.

Looking after your car’s tires might feel like a chore, but it’s key to a smooth ride. This ensures your vehicle can brake properly and steer correctly. A simple way to check them is to use a penny and see if they’re properly inflated. If you’re unsure if you need new tires, schedule an appointment at Crain Kia of Bentonville in Bentonville, Arkansas!

Redline Reviews

Sofyan Bey, on the Redline Reviews YouTube channel, was one of the lucky few at the show who got a first look at the 2025 Kia K4. He highlighted the car’s appealing design, noting its striking LED headlights similar to those on the EV9 and its distinctive amber daytime running lights and turn signals.

“It has the latest interpretation of the Kia design language here with their tiger nose grille,” said Bey. “The front fascia just looks a lot more aggressive. I think that Kia has done a really good job.”

Bey talks about the car’s engine choices, pointing out you can pick between a two-liter four-cylinder or a 1.6-liter turbo engine. He notes these options are pretty similar to what you’d find in the Kia Forte sedan currently on the market. However, Bey believes this new model will likely be better on gas and produce fewer emissions. He also gives a nod to the car’s cabin, praising its design and quality.

“When you step inside the interior, this is where again Kia is really pulling out all the stops to really deliver an interior that feels a lot more upscale and premium than typical vehicles in the class,” said Bey. “This feels like a huge step above the Forte.”

He highlights the sleek design of the dashboard, the spacious seating area for riders, and the advanced technology features.

“If you guys are looking for something stylish, more premium with bigger backseat space and all the latest tech features, this model should be hitting your local Kia dealership sometime in the third quarter of 2024,” said Bey.

Raiti’s Rides

Joe Raiti of the Raiti’s Rides YouTube channel also had a chance to check out the Kia K4 at the car show and shared his impressions. He pointed out that this new model introduces changes in size, shape, and overall design.

“Even though this is a compact sedan, it is getting a little bit wider a little bit longer, which is going to give you more interior space and also a better driving experience going down the road,” said Raiti.

He points out that the sedan’s new LED headlights share a similar style with the recent K5 update. Raiti also had the opportunity to experience the interior of the sedan firsthand, appreciating its straightforward and neat design.

“You’re going to have about 30 inches of screen, so you have your 12.3 for your infotainment system, and then the rest of the 30 inches is in the digital gauge cluster,” said Raiti.

He noted that the front seat offered ample space above his head and around his shoulders, and he found the back row also spacious.

“Even though this is a compact sedan, you gotta throw out the compact whole word. There’s nothing compact back here,” said Raiti.

The 2025 Kia K4 will soon be available at Crain Kia in Bentonville later this year! To pre-order yours, get in touch with our sales team, or drop by our dealership.

“Overall, this is a very different look than what you’d find across the Chrysler Pacifica, the Honda Odyssey, and even the Toyota Sienna,” said Travis. “This is part of what Kia is trying to do to distinguish this vehicle.”

He discussed the unique dark package features, which include dark-colored wheels, mirrors, roof racks, and various other components. He also highlighted the generous storage space available in the rear. Additionally, Travis shared his thoughts on the vehicle’s potential fuel efficiency.

“With the addition of the hybrid model, we’re not only going to get very similar power outputs but, ideally, significantly better fuel economy,” said Travis. “With the addition of the dark trim, we see a sportier way to present your Carnival.”

Car Confections

Drew and Mason Hardesty, from the Car Confections YouTube channel, also got an early look at the updated 2025 Carnival. They shared that Kia has updated its design to give it a more rugged look, making this minivan resemble an SUV.

“When it comes to automotive brands, Kia is perhaps one of the very best about making sure all their products stay fresh, up to date, and also have similar design elements that pass through them,” said Drew.

They also mention that this minivan was already top-notch with its luxury features in previous years, and the 2025 update brings a new design evoking the EV9, the refreshed Sorento Family, and the 2025 K5.

Mason takes time discussing the rear passenger area. He notes that while the space in the back is the same as the previous model, the new SX Prestige trim level has added something special: VIP lounge seats. These new seats offer exceptional comfort with their winged headrests and two armrests, allowing passengers to recline fully. They also have power adjustment, with easy-to-use controls on the seat sides. Mason also mentions that the backseat passengers can enjoy their media with the dual 14.6-inch entertainment screens and a second-row sunroof, enhancing the overall travel experience.

“The rear occupants really have a super luxurious experience with this new model, especially if you choose the VIP seating package,” said Mason.

Kia is making strides towards a brighter and more sustainable future! With a renewed focus on becoming carbon neutral, the company is committed to progress and growth.

“Every move we make, either big or small, will be made in a more sustainable way through innovation inspired by nature,” said Kia President and CEO Ho Sung Song. “Our aim is to protect, prevent, and reduce the negative impact that movement has on nature.”

Kia has set itself the goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2045 and aims to rely entirely on renewable energy sources by 2040, worldwide. Keep reading to see what Kia has planned for the future!

Sustainability

Kia is getting ready for a future where all cars run on electricity. To achieve this, they are releasing new models like the EV6, Niro EV, and EV9. By 2026, they plan to have 11 electric cars available for purchase. Kia aims to have all its European vehicles electric by 2035 and in other major markets by 2040. By 2045, they want all their cars to be electric worldwide.

Kia wants to use only renewable energy to power its factories and plans to achieve this through a program called RE:100. By 2030, all the vehicles used at these factories will also be electric. Kia will similarly install solar panels to generate power at some of its factories around the world.

Kia’s CEO recently announced that the company plans to bring hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on the roads by 2028. Moreover, they plan to introduce hydrogen technology in their production process soon.

Picture of the Ocean Cleanup's efforts

The Ocean Cleanup

Kia is working together with an organization called The Ocean Cleanup. They aim to make sure that there is no plastic in the ocean. In August 2023, they removed 55 tons of plastic from the Pacific Ocean using a cleanup System002. After recycling the plastic, some will be used in Kia’s future cars. The group also puts machines near the entrances of rivers to stop plastic from getting into the ocean.

Kia is working towards a better future by focusing on sustainability. It aims to use only electric power for their production and driving. Additionally, they are taking steps to clean up the environment, which will help create a brighter and greener future.
