Do you know when your Kia needs fresh headlights? Headlights need to be replaced when they are no longer providing enough light. This can happen suddenly or gradually, and there are a few different ways to tell if it’s time for your Kia mechanic to install new headlights on your vehicle. Read on to find out what they are:
1) Your Headlights Are Dim
Light output decreases as a headlight ages. It’s also
conceivable that your vehicle’s headlight covers accumulate a layer of dirt or
grime, impairing their overall performance. If your headlights have dimmed,
clean the area around them and see whether the light quality improves. If your
headlights still look dimmer than they used to, or if the beam has a yellowish
hue, it may be time to have them replaced – especially considering that
inadequate headlights can cause accidents!
2) Your Lenses Are Broken
When lenses crack or get cloudy, the light will scatter
rather than shine straight forward. This makes it difficult for other drivers
to see where your vehicle is headed. The problem can be fixed by installing new
bulbs and new headlight assemblies onto your Kia.
3) Your Headlights Are Blurry
Like dirty eyeglasses distort things in the distance, cloudy
or dirty lenses in a headlight can also distort images. If your headlights are blurred,
you’ll need to have them replaced with new ones from your Kia dealer. Blurry
headlights can sometimes be fixed with a good cleaning, but if they cannot be
cleared up that way, it’s time for new ones.
