If you’re planning your next vacation and want to include some sightseeing in your itinerary, don’t worry – there are several tourist attractions you can drive to from Bentonville, AR, that won’t require more than a couple of hours on the road. Here are our top recommendations:

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is one of the top destinations in the country for art lovers. The museum houses a large collection of American art from the early 19th century to the early 21st century. The main draw to the museum is the building itself. The museum’s architecture is as much of a work of art as the paintings inside the building.

The museum is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., depending on the season. Admission costs between $20 and $27, depending on your age and how long you stay at the museum. If you’re feeling hungry after viewing the art, you can head to the museum’s Cafe at the Bridges for some delicious American food. If you’re visiting the museum with kids, be sure to check out the museum’s “What’s Your Story?” activity board.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Bachman-Wilson House

Located in the town of Rogers, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Bachman-Wilson House at the Silo Ridge Ranch is a must-see for architecture buffs. This house, designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, was built in 1932 as part of a “Utopian” community.

The Bachman-Wilson house itself is a beautiful example of Wright’s Prairie style. If you’re lucky, you might even get to see a few of the Wright-designed items in the house – the owner occasionally hosts tours.

The Walmart Museum

If you’re a fan of American history, you might be surprised to learn that one of the best places to learn about it is at the Walmart Museum. The museum, located in Bentonville, is housed in the building where Sam Walton started the very first Walmart store.

The museum is filled with artifacts, photos, and information about the history of Walmart and its founder. If you have kids, be sure to stop by the kids’ museum. The museum is located in Downtown Bentonville, which is just a few minutes away from the Walmart Headquarters. The museum is open Monday through Saturday. Admission is free.
