4. The Walmart Museum

Arkansas was the home of the first Walmart store, and today, the Walmart Museum is located at Bentonville’s downtown square. The site, in which Sam Walton opened his first store (Walton’s 5&10) is now dedicated to Walmart’s brand and history. The museum offers virtual and physical tours. While you visit, have an ice cream or a snack at the Spark Cafe.  

5. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

Bentonville prides itself on being a city that celebrates and promotes art. As a testament to this, you can visit the Crystal Bridges Museum. This state-of-the-art building houses a collection that celebrates over 200 years of American art. Here, you can discover pieces by big-name artists such as Georgia O’Keefe and Andy Warhol. Surrounding the building, you will find impressive steel sculptures and installations.

6. Massey Hotel

The Massey Hotel opened its doors in 1910 and could host 40 guests. It was regarded as a high-class, fine-dining place where many business deals were closed. The building caught fire and was almost completely destroyed in1975. The Walton family bought it and renovated it shortly after. Today, it hosts the Walton Family foundation offices.
