The 2021 Kia Sorento hasn’t been officially released yet, but that hasn’t stopped photos of the newest Sorento from being leaked online. From what we can see, the 2021 model has some of its original features, but also includes a number of new and improved features and qualities. As of right now, specifics have been kept secret, leaving everyone — including us — on the edge of their seats and awaiting release day.

Sharp Exterior

From what is currently known about the 2021 Sorento, it seems that it is only available in one trim level. This trim level features sharp, angular lines, minimal curves, and roof rails, with the rear taillights boasting vertically aligned bulbs. The doors have prominent sculpting along their lower sections, while the front headlights and grille of the vehicle are both smaller than the previous model’s.

Premium Interior

The first thing we know for sure about the interior of the upcoming Sorento model is that it is more spacious than its predecessor. The small design changes have given it a bit of extra room inside as well as more cargo space.

We also know that the decorating inside of the cabin is fantastic, boasting leather upholstery, ambient lighting, a rotary shifter, and a digital gauge cluster. The seats, in addition to being made of fine leather, are heated and ventilated, featuring their own independent buttons on the dashboard. Also on the dashboard is a large touch screen. The interior is set up using a six-seat layout, with the second row of seats each being independently installed and the third rows being adjustable in terms of position.

Improved Performance and Multiple Engine Options

Allegedly, the 2021 Sorento will be available with several different engines. It will be available in both gasoline and hybrid options, with gasoline options including a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Regardless of which engine you opt for, you won’t be lacking in the power department.

The performance of this model has been improved thanks to its 80 kg weight loss. This weight loss, despite the vehicle’s overall growth in size, has provided the Sorento with sharper turns, smoother handling, and a better general experience for drivers and their passengers.

Emphasis on Safety

Safety is important to Kia, and as such, the 2021 Sorento has no shortage of safety features. Standard for most modern vehicles, the Sorento features a handful of strategically-placed air bags. It also includes a new feature that kicks in and automatically hits the brakes should the driver lose control of the vehicle. Another handy feature that could be available in the Sorento is one that allows drivers to look at their vehicle’s surroundings using their smartphone or the main infotainment screen.

Since the vehicle hasn’t been launched yet, it really gives us something to look forward to. With its new features, spacious interior, and revamped exterior, the 2021 Sorento would be nothing short of a great investment. Luckily, you can purchase one at your local Kia dealership!
