4 Reasons the 2020 Kia Rio Is a Great Value

With rising sales figures year after year, the Rio is one of Kia's most promising car offerings. Its affordable price tag is an obvious hook, but Kia supports that with a practical design and impressive tech features. These are just some of the reasons the 2020 Kia Rio is a great value for the money. Its Dimensions Are Just Right Creating a small car is a delicate balancing act. It should be compact enough to easily maneuver into parking spaces and through city traffic. However, if it's too small you risk compromising comfort and cargo space. Kia gets the balance right with its Rio. Clever interior design makes the most of the space offered to drivers and passengers. If cargo space matters to you, choose the hatchback style over the sedan. It's a foot shorter than the sedan but has 17 cubic feet of cargo room rather than just 13.7. Fold the rear seats down and the available space increases to 32.8 cubic feet. That's more than enough room for suitcases, groceries, golf clubs, and other bulky items. Infotainment Features Come Standard Many car brands make tech features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto optional extras or reserve them for higher trims. Not Kia, who thinks all drivers should enjoy the convenience of connective technology. Both smartphone connectivity suites come standard on all 2020 Rio trims. So are 7-inch touch-screen displays, which integrate seamlessly with the technology. A USB port and Bluetooth connectivity as standard should further satisfy your infotainment tech needs. It's Very Safe There's a perception that low-price cars crumble at the slightest impact. The 2020 Rio busts that myth with an impressive safety record that equals or even betters more expensive vehicles. The IIHS gave the base model a Top Safety Pick score, an impressive feat considering its price. Anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, electronic brake-force distribution, hill-start assist control, a rear view camera, and a variety of air bags are among the standard safety features. Choose the S trim to add more safety features, including the IIHS's preferred LED headlights, forward collision-avoidance assist, and automatic emergency braking. These features work with the standard safety additions to keep you, your passengers, and other road users safe. It's Incredibly Fuel Efficient A low sticker price is important when assessing value, but it only tells half the story. Running costs may be even more crucial for motorists searching for good deals. Compacts are rarely gas guzzlers, but the 2020 Kia Rio's fuel economy figures are some of the best in its class. The EPA estimates you'll get 33 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the open roads. That's good news for your wallet and the planet. The base model 2020 Kia Rio is just $15,850, and the S trim less than $1,000 more, but it has much more than a low price tag on its side. Kia crams plenty of impressive features into its subcompact design, making the 2020 Rio one of the best value small sedans on the market.

What's New With the 2020 Kia Soul

The Soul has long been one of Kia's best-selling models, but the automaker hasn't sat on its laurels in 2020. Instead, it's redesigned the Soul for 2020, retaining elements we loved and injecting appealing new features. Discover all the new additions that make the 2020 Kia Soul one of the best subcompacts around. It's a Little Larger The Soul will never be bulky, but the 2020 incarnation is a little larger than its predecessors. The car is 2.2 inches longer and the wheelbase is 1.2 inches longer. It's no wider though, so it should be just as easy to park and move through traffic. The difference in passenger space is negligible, but the changes make a big impact in the back. The standard cargo capacity has also increased from 18.8 cubic feet 23.8 cubic feet. The rear hatch has a wider and lower opening than the 2019 model, allowing larger items to pass through. You can also increase storage space by removing the luggage under tray and folding the rear seats down. This handy feature is ideal for road trips and carrying sporting goods to weekend games. It's More Powerful The Soul will never be a muscle car, but the 2020 model is peppier than its predecessor. Last year's base model had a 1.6-liter I-4 gasoline direct injection motor, with an optional 2.0-liter I-4. In 2020, the 2.0-liter I-4 engine becomes the standard. That change boosts the base model's horsepower from 130 to 147. Standard torque has also increased from 118 pound-feet to 132 pound-feet. Kia has also boosted power and range substantially for the electric Soul. This time there's a 64-kilowatt-hour battery under the hood, which is much mightier than 2019's 31.8-kilowatt-hour battery. The 2020 EV battery generates 201 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of torque. That's much more than the last generation's 109 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. It also travels up to 243 miles, more than twice the distance of the 2019 EV. There are Better Entertainment Options Across the Range Kia understands modern motorists always want to feel connected to their contacts and music. In 2019, the UVO infotainment system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay were exclusive to higher trims. However, in 2020 the new UVO system and smartphone suites are standard across the range. The Bluetooth system has also been upgraded for two devices, perfect for couples sharing their vehicle. There are still a few entertainment extras reserved for the higher trims, though. Choose the EX or GT-Line trim and the 7-inch color touch screen becomes a 10.25-inch display. This improved system also features high-definition and satellite radio and an in-built navigator. The turbo GT-Line trim even has a head-up display to keep your eyes on the road and a Harman Kardon Premium Audio system for crystal-clear stereo sound. The head-up display is brand new for 2020. The premium audio system was previously an optional extra. Redesigning a top-selling car is  inherently risky, but Kia shows how its done. Clever additions make the  2020 Kia Soul one of the brand's most appealing hatchbacks yet.

Explore the All-New 2021 Sorento

The 2021 Kia Sorento hasn't been officially released yet, but that hasn't stopped photos of the newest Sorento from being leaked online. From what we can see, the 2021 model has some of its original features, but also includes a number of new and improved features and qualities. As of right now, specifics have been kept secret, leaving everyone — including us — on the edge of their seats and awaiting release day. Sharp Exterior From what is currently known about the 2021 Sorento, it seems that it is only available in one trim level. This trim level features sharp, angular lines, minimal curves, and roof rails, with the rear taillights boasting vertically aligned bulbs. The doors have prominent sculpting along their lower sections, while the front headlights and grille of the vehicle are both smaller than the previous model's. Premium Interior The first thing we know for sure about the interior of the upcoming Sorento model is that it is more spacious than its predecessor. The small design changes have given it a bit of extra room inside as well as more cargo space. We also know that the decorating inside of the cabin is fantastic, boasting leather upholstery, ambient lighting, a rotary shifter, and a digital gauge cluster. The seats, in addition to being made of fine leather, are heated and ventilated, featuring their own independent buttons on the dashboard. Also on the dashboard is a large touch screen. The interior is set up using a six-seat layout, with the second row of seats each being independently installed and the third rows being adjustable in terms of position. Improved Performance and Multiple Engine Options Allegedly, the 2021 Sorento will be available with several different engines. It will be available in both gasoline and hybrid options, with gasoline options including a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Regardless of which engine you opt for, you won't be lacking in the power department. The performance of this model has been improved thanks to its 80 kg weight loss. This weight loss, despite the vehicle's overall growth in size, has provided the Sorento with sharper turns, smoother handling, and a better general experience for drivers and their passengers. Emphasis on Safety Safety is important to Kia, and as such, the 2021 Sorento has no shortage of safety features. Standard for most modern vehicles, the Sorento features a handful of strategically-placed air bags. It also includes a new feature that kicks in and automatically hits the brakes should the driver lose control of the vehicle. Another handy feature that could be available in the Sorento is one that allows drivers to look at their vehicle's surroundings using their smartphone or the main infotainment screen. Since the vehicle hasn't been launched yet, it really gives us something to look forward to. With its new features, spacious interior, and revamped exterior, the 2021 Sorento would be nothing short of a great investment. Luckily, you can purchase one at your local Kia dealership!

Check Out the Redesigned 2020 Cadenza

The 2020 Cadenza, according to experts and car-enthusiasts alike, is bound to be a hit with its fresh new style and total redesign. Here are some noteworthy features of this vehicle. Updated Exterior Standard for each Cadenza is a large grille, lower front fascia and lights, and LED headlights that have integrated with LED DRL lamps. The 2020 Cadenza comes in two distinct trims: Technology and Limited, as last year's Premium trim has been dropped. Technology is the base model, boasting a panoramic sunroof and the Cadenza's standard features, while Limited is the more premium of the two trims. Smooth Interior The interior of the Cadenza is the area that received the most changes, and it doesn't lack in comfort or style. The dashboard and instrument cluster has been redesigned, while a 12.3-inch touch screen that boasts multi-device Bluetooth capabilities has been added to both trims. The seats are leather-trimmed and available in a variety of colors, with the Limited models featuring quilted seat bolsters and LED mood lighting that makes the vehicle go from family-friendly to romantic in a second. Each vehicle comes equipped with three USB ports for quick charging of mobile devices and an enhanced 10-watt wireless charging feature. Both trims also feature Smart Key technology with remote engine start. Outstanding Performance The engine of the 2020 model remains unchanged from last year's, with each sedan featuring a 3.3-liter V-6. This engine puts out 290 horsepower, which is pretty good for a vehicle of this size, so although the engine hasn't been updated, it's still a great feature. In addition to the respectable engine, this sedan is designed with an eight-speed automatic transmission that works to improve responsiveness and mileage. To reduce NVH levels, manufacturers have installed a reinforced rear sub-frame and resonator wheels. They have also added revamped shock valves and larger rear dampers, both of which aid in the smoothness of handling. Because of its size, the Cadenza has a learning curve when it comes to turning and parking, but overall, the performance of the vehicle is on par with other Kia models. Useful Safety Features 2020 is a big year for the Cadenza in terms of safety features, with the vehicle using an all-new, highly extensive safety feature package. It uses Kia's standard Drive Wise — however, this technology has been updated and configured to feature Safe Exist Assist, navigation-based cruise control, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assistance, Lane Follow Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Highway Driving Assist is one of the newest technologies, quickly changing the vehicle's speed based upon the posted speeds of federal highways. In addition to the features found in the Drive Wise package, the Cadenza also includes automatic high beam technology. The 2020 Kia Cadenza is a vehicle to look out for. From its stunning, all-inclusive baseline Technology trim to its premium, technology-driven Limited trim, it's great for families and individuals alike. You can find your own Cadenza at your local Kia dealership.
