Residents love to visit the local farmer's market, explore the springtime exhibitions at Crystal Bridges Museum of Modern Art, or attend the FreshGrass Festival. In today's post, you can learn more about these three springtime activities.

1. Attend the FreshGrass Festival

If you want to experience great live music in your hometown, book tickets for FreshGrass Festival now. The festival is held at The Momentary, a live music venue on 507 SE E St. This year, FreshGrass takes place on May 19 and 20, and it features performers like Elle King, Sierra Ferrell, and Molly Tuttle. You can either buy single-day or two-day tickets.

Complimentary parking is available in a designated lot near the local fire department. Once you've parked your Kia Soul, you can take the festival shuttle to the venue.

2. Visit the Farmer's Market

The Farmer's Market on the Square returned in April, and it's now in full swing. It takes place every Saturday from 7:30 am to 1 pm. You can explore the various stalls and buy fresh local meats, cheeses, vegetables, and fruit. There are also craft stalls, so this is the perfect place for you if you're looking for a unique gift.

If you have children, the second Saturday in May is a particularly good day to visit because it's a POP! Club Activity Day. This event allows kids to spend vouchers on fruit and vegetables and participate in several free educational activities.

3. Visit the Springtime Exhibitions at Crystal Bridges

Crystal Bridges is the local Museum of Modern Art. It features a wide range of exhibitions about modern and historical art and architecture. There are also 120 acres of parkland, so you can explore the many nature trails, which are particularly beautiful in spring. Some popular trails are the Art Trail, the Orchard Trail, the North Forest Trail, and the Crystal Trail.

This spring, you can explore several unique exhibitions at Crystal Bridges. Listening Forest by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer is a North Forest experience that takes place almost every night in March, April, and May. Users can walk through the eight immersive installations that feature a combination of art and technology. Those who prefer a daytime installation can explore the exhibition Diego Rivera's America, which opens on May 11.
